Image sizes & placements
EchoRelay reads an image’s aspect ratio and tells you which platforms that shape suits. The criteria are each platform’s own recommended image sizes - not a guess.
| Ratio | Typical size | Perfect for |
|---|---|---|
| 9:16 | 1080 × 1920 | Instagram & Facebook Stories and Reels, TikTok (full-screen vertical) |
| 4:5 | 1080 × 1350 | Instagram feed (tallest portrait, most feed real estate), Facebook |
| 1:1 | 1080 × 1080 | Square feeds - Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn |
| 1.91:1 | 1200 × 628 | Link cards - Facebook, LinkedIn, X |
| 16:9 | 1280 × 720 | YouTube, X, LinkedIn landscape / video |
How the “Perfect for” read works
Section titled “How the “Perfect for” read works”- In the Asset Library lightbox, opening any image shows its resolution, ratio, and the matching platforms (with icons).
- In the post editor’s “Use from library”, each image’s ratio badge turns green when it fits the platform of the version you’re editing.
The thresholds are bands around those canonical ratios (so 0.8 reads as “4:5”). If a band should map differently for your use, it’s a single setting we can tune.
